The International Summer School “Muslims in the West” is organized by the Chair of Islamic Studies. So far more than 100 students, Muslims from different countries and cultures (f.e. India, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Yemen, South Africa, Sudan, Malaysia) as well as German students have been participating for the last five years. The promotion of a direct dialogue between students and alumni leads to a better mutual acceptance, tolerance and understanding of "Islam" and the "West".
