At the University of Erfurt, education research is conducted in an interdisciplinary manner. For example, ongoing dialog takes place between scholars in the fields of pedagogy and educational science on the one hand and psychology, communication studies, linguistics, or economics on the other. Cooperation across school lines has led to the creation of several research groups that are currently merging to form a large network. The “Key Research Focus: Education – Children’s minds” also comprises a young researchers’ group and establish a graduate school.
