Research interests

Publication bias and the associated file-drawer problem are phenomena of 21st century science. In general bias concerns the increased likelihood of publishing research results depending on the significance criterion, which may result in biased reporting in many social science disciplines. As a consequence, it can lead to misguided routines and questionable research practices that lead to false and non-replicable findings. My research interests are in the evaluation of methods, which should uncover bias and correct it. I'm also interested in the impact of bias on parameter estimation and moderator testing within random-effect models in meta-analysis. For that I work together with Dr. Frank Renkewitz and my doctoral advisor Prof. Guido Mehlkop.
