Catholic Theology (Katholische Theologie): Magister degree

Studierende und Dozent im Kreuzgang

The Magister degree in Catholic Theology is approximately equivalent to a bachelor’s and a master’s degree combined and takes five years of full-time study to complete. The curriculum includes comprehensive coursework in biblical, historical, systematic, and practical theology. By selecting their own areas of concentration, students can prepare for pastoral, cultural, or social occupations. The Magister Theologiae is a single-field program of study. Additional qualifications can be acquired by earning a second degree. After completing this program, students may go on to pursue a Ph.D.
