Course Details

The master program Education for Secondary Schools is a continuation of the successful bachelor program in the same field. Students must complete one internship focusing on subject didactics in each of the subject areas prepared for through the core module Childhood Pedagogy; two internships are required for the minor subject. Additional internships are an inherent part of the educational module. The curriculum includes an academically founded but practically and program-oriented master’s thesis. After completing this program, students are eligible to begin the probationary teaching period for secondary schools in Thuringia and the rest of Germany. To do so, an application must be submitted to the ministry responsible for schools in the state of one’s choice.
