Awareness concepts have been developed to proactively counteract discriminatory and transgressive behaviour, to bring about mutual consideration and to establish a more conscious approach to privileges. In the four-hour workshop, the theory and practice of awareness will be dealt with intensively and basic concepts such as consensus, power of definition and partiality will be clarified together. There will also be a concrete discussion of what an awareness or supporter structure can look like. Often, being part of an awareness team is intimidating, there is a lot of insecurity. The workshop wants to reduce this insecurity and encourage people to get involved in awareness work themselves and/or to be aware in general.
The speakers are Lisa Grollmütz and Juliane Jürries. The workshop will take place at the Brennessel Women's Centre. The number of participants is limited. The workshop lasts approx. 4 hours including breaks and is aimed at students of all genders who are interested in awareness.
The workshop is offered on the occasion of the Diversity Days 2022, which take place at Thuringian universities from 16 May to 3 June 2022.
Interested persons can register by e-mail until 20 May 2022.
