We are the last generation that can do something about climate change",
said Barack Obama, and the facts speak for themselves: by 2050 there will be more plastic in the sea than fish. 23,000 species are already threatened with extinction today. The issue of sustainability runs through all areas of life. This makes it all the more important to take action now in order to continue shaping a future worth living. As part of the Studium Fundamentale, students in the seminar "Sustainability - improving the world with practical projects" developed their own projects in the summer semester of 2025. The project exhibition is intended to show how scientifically sound thinking and social action can be combined - creatively, critically and solution-orientated.
The exhibition provides insights into the topics, ideas and challenges that the students have been working on. Theexhibition includes posters and presentations. The works cover different dimensions of sustainability and are intended to show that change begins on a small scale and with commitment. The exhibition in the foyer of the KIZ can be seen until 16 July.
The seminar is led by Professor Dr Sandra Tänzer and apl. Prof. Dr. Bettina Hollstein and is part of the "Sustainability / ESD" study profile and covers all of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - with a special focus on SDG 4 "Quality Education".
