"Stadt im Wandel" campaign day

Numerous associations, initiatives and projects present their ideas and approaches for a sustainable Erfurt on this day in the “Hirschgarten”. The University of Erfurt has also been taking part for many years. The focus is on a sustainable way of life, specific projects for the future and the practical implementation of the 17 sustainable development goals.

New this year: an educational programme for school classes will take place in the morning for the first time. In co-operation with the climate school, workshops for grades 5 and 6 will be offered on the topic of nutrition and sustainability. The pupils will present the results on stage at the official opening from 12 noon. Students will also present micro-projects. A varied stage programme, hands-on activities and information stands will invite visitors to discover more. As in the previous year, the sustainability prize will again be awarded in cooperation with “Stadtwerke” Erfurt – an award for particularly inspiring projects.
