Prof. Dr. habil. Matthias Amort

Short Biography

Prof. Dr. habil. Matthias Amort finished his legal studies at the University of Augsburg with two state exams (barrister). He worked as a research associate at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt where he gained a doctoral degree. Matthias Amort was then appointed as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Erfurt and held a Christoph-Martin-Wieland-scholarship as a post-doctoral researcher. He has been teaching law for more than 15 years in both Germany and the United Kingdom (European Business School London). In 2021, he gained his habilitation in law and was appointed as an associate professor at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Erfurt. After teaching at the Hochschule Fulda (partly in English), Matthias Amort was appointed as a full professor at the FOM Hochschule in Düsseldorf where he also teaches partly in the English language.
