                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We are delighted to announce that this year's Essay Prize has been awarded to <strong>Antonia Mitrenga</strong> for her outstanding essay, "Regressive Perspectives in a Modern Story: How <i>The Iliad</i> Exposes Madeline Miller's Adaptation,<i> The Song of Achilles</i>, as an Endorsement of Hegemonic Masculinity and Heteronormativity." Congratulations on this excellent achievement!</p>
<p>We are pleased to present Antonia Mitrenga with a voucher generously provided by our sponsor, <a href="https://www.reisebuchbar.de" class="link link--external">buchbar</a> Erfurt, and we wish her all the best in her future literary and academic endeavours.</p>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span>We’re now accepting submissions for the </span><strong data-start="305" data-end="325">2025 Essay Prize</strong><span>, awarded each year for an outstanding student paper in </span><strong data-start="381" data-end="415">American or British Literature</strong><span> written during the&nbsp;</span><strong data-start="435" data-end="500"> academic year &nbsp;2024/25 (October 2024 – September 2025)</strong><span>.
