Thinking about studying English in Erfurt? Then join us on campus on 9 May 2026 and find out more about studying for a Bachelor's degree in English and American Studies.

Information stands will be set up in building C19 from 9.30 to 14:00, where our students will be happy to answer your questions about the programme.

At 12:15 and 13:30 there will be presentations in building C18, room C18.03.05 (on the top floor) in which we will introduce you to the Bachelor's degree programme in English and American Studies and explain the curriculum.

Back to the Roots – the Baron Arnold Quartett

As part of his course on Black history, Christopher Forlini has invited the trombone player and educator Baron Arnold to come to our university. He will teach a class and play a concert on May 5 at 7:30 in Cafe Nerly; this concert will be an exploration of the African-American musical tradition and aesthetic. The drummer Genius Wesley (early 20s) is absolutely phenomenal – he has a style of drumming unique to the Bay Area and has been a professional musician since he was 14. He has already played with some real jazz legends (Kenny Garrett, Ravi Coltrane). May 5 is an opportunity to see him live in Erfurt.
