Season's greetings from the Presidium

Dear colleagues, dear students, dear friends of the University of Erfurt!

We continue to live through stressful times – the COVID-19 pandemic has been followed by the energy crisis in 2022. Thus, we still have to face great challenges – small and large, as a global community and as a university. All the more reason to wish you and your loved ones a relaxing holiday season and the best possible end of the year.

Let us not lose courage but look forward to 2023 with confidence. And let us keep our hope for improvement, for prudent action and fruitful cooperation. We wish for you to find peace and new strength over the holidays around the turn of the year – energy for everything that awaits us in the coming year – both professionally and privately.

We would also like to take this opportunity to remember all those we have lost this year. They will not be forgotten.

And we want to say thank you. To all those who, in 2022, have worked with great commitment and sometimes beyond their own limits to help shape our university and move it forward. Because these people have given us courage and hope.
