We roll out the rainbow carpet...

The campus of the University of Erfurt is colourful. Diverse. We want to show that. With an small event at the start of the winter semester, in which all university members are invited to participate.

Finally – after a long dry spell – we can welcome our students and employees back to campus. We are very happy about this. And of course we also want to welcome all our freshmen or those who are on campus for the first time. To do this, we will roll out the carpet for all of you – not the red carpet, but the rainbow carpet. To signal that you are welcome with all our hearts. In all your diversity.

How do we do that? It's simple: We start a rainbow made of sidewalk chalk at the main entrance to the campus. It will be wide and visible to all who come to us. We will then leave the chalk so that the rainbow can continue. Anyone who wants to can join in. Or just look. And be happy – that diversity has a good place at the university.
