Dynamics of Jewish Ritual Practices in Pluralistic Contexts from Antiquity to the Present

Jewish Rituals are - as all rituals - nothing static. They change throughout times and especially when they come into contact with other cultures and contexts. The Research Centre „Dynamics of Jewish Ritual Practices in Pluralistic Contexts from Antiquity to the Present“ will investigate these processes focussing on the developments and dynamic changes of Jewish rituals. The Research Center is a cooperation of Max-Weber-Kolleg, Theologisches Forschungskolleg Erfurt, Forschungszentrum Gotha, Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar, as well as leading international scholars in the field of Jewish Studies and Jewish Ritual.
