Extension of the DFG Project "Armed Self-Defense

The Chair of North American History is pleased to announce that the German Research Foundation-funded project "Armed Self-Defense in Recent America. Intersectional Perspectives" has been extended until the end of 2023.

The project, starting in October 2018, is a cooperation of the Chair of North American History with Prof. Dr. Barbara Lüthi (Universität zu Köln) and Prof. Dr. Simon Wendt (Goethe Universität Frankfurt/M.). At the University of Erfurt, Pia Beumer is working on the dissertation project "Expanding the Frontier: Bernhard Goetz and Contested Space in 1980s New York City".
