Romance studies at the University of Erfurt

The study of romance literatures at the University of Erfurt focuses in particular on literature in French and Spanish.

• It is responsible for offering courses in the BA in Romance studies, the BA in literary studies, the MA in literary studies, the MA in collections-based history of knowledge and culture and the masters of education (for primary/secondary and vocational schools for French).
• The BA 6+1 programme offers Erfurt students of literary studies and Romance studies the opportunity to think outside the box and get to know university culture in another country. 
• Doctoral opportunities exist in particular in the field of literary studies through the Graduate Centre Texts.Symbols.Media as well as in other structured doctoral programmes at the University of Erfurt.
• Its research foci lie in the fields of the theory of space, in media and film studies, and in modern French and Spanish literature.
