E-mail encryption: In the ZIP file you will find the certificate with the public key for the address nachwuchsfoerderung@uni-erfurt.de in a PEM, DER and PKCS#7 format. You can import this certificate into your e-mail program (e.g. Mozilla Thunderbird, MS Outlook) anduse it to send an S/MIME encrypted mail to nachwuchsfoerderung@uni-erfurt.de.It is not mandatory to send an encrypted e-mail.

Predoc Scholarships

Predoc Scholarships of the Faculty of Economics, Law and Social Sciences

The Faculty of Economics, Law and Social Sciences at the University of Erfurt will award up to three short-term scholarships by 1 June 2021 at the latest, which are intended to facilitate the transition to an academic career for particularly qualified graduates of the Master's degree programmes "Political Science (Law, Economics and Social Sciences)" and "Public Policy" at the Faculty or elsewhere.

The scholarships have a duration of three to six months, depending on the applicant situation. The monthly funding amount is currently 1,000 euros (plus family allowance, if applicable). 

Application deadline is April 15, 2021. Detailed information on eligibility requirements, award criteria and application documents to be submitted as well as a contact person for queries can be found in summary form in the call for applications.

Doctoral Scholarships | Max-Weber-Kolleg

The Max Weber Centre for Advanced Cultural and Social Studies (Max-Weber-Kolleg) at the University of Erfurt invites applications for 2 scholarships for Ph.D. projects according to the scholarship statute of the University of Erfurt. 

The scholarships are to be awarded beginning 1 October 2021 for a period of 3 years with possible extension for a further 12 months.

The project is a cooperation between the Max-Weber-Kolleg at the University of Erfurt and the University of Graz. Participants are required to spend the second year of their participation in the programme at the cooperating university. As an International Research Training Group, the programme’s primary language is English.

Graduation Grant for International Doctoral Students funded by DAAD German Academic Exchange Service

With the graduation grant international doctoral students are supported in their final phase of their dissertation. The scholarship is intended to allow students to fully concentrate and focus on the completion of the dissertation.

The graduation grant is awarded for three months within the year 2021. 

Application deadline is Mai 01, 2021. For further information about the documents to be submitted and the application procedure, please refer to the Annoucement.

Completion Scholarships

The University of Erfurt awards 3-month completion scholarships to doctoral students who are in the final stage of their doctorate and whose doctoral procedure has been opened at the University of Erfurt. The monthly scholarship amounts to 1,000 euros.

Applications can be submitted at any time, application documents must be sent to nachwuchsfoerderung@uni-erfurt.de.

Please note: From 01.01.2021, until further notice, completion scholarships can only be awarded to persons who started a doctoral scholarship at the University of Erfurt (Christoph-Martin-Wieland or Landesgraduate Scholarship) before 10.05.2018.

Initialization Scholarships

The University of Erfurt is awarding up to three initialization scholarships from May 1, 2021. The scholarships provide financial support for postdocs who are preparing their own third-party funding application or who are significantly involved in an application for a larger third-party funding project at the University of Erfurt.

Initialization scholarships can be granted for a maximum period of 12 months. The scholarship is accompanied by application advice.
