University of Erfurt will also award doctoral scholarships in 2020

The University of Erfurt will award a total of up to twelve scholarships to support doctoral projects in the structured programmes of the EPPP-certified junior research groups or the Max-Weber-Kolleg as of 1 January 2021. Applications can be submitted from August 1 to September 30, 2020.

The financial support of 1,400 euros per month is intended to last for three years. The application can be extended for a further year. In addition, a family allowance of 300 euros for one child and 150 euros for each additional child is granted.

The University of Erfurt offers its scholarship holders among other things

  • a job (subject to capacity);
  • support and start-up formats for research and networking;
  • a programme for academic qualification and further education;
  • platforms for communicating their research (e.g. the Erfurt Science Slam).
