Project Group Reformation History

The Project

In the "Project Group Reformation history" supported by the Thuringian Ministry of Education, Science and Culture, the Foundation Schloss Friedenstein Gotha, the University of Erfurt and the Theological Faculty of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena have joined to intensify and promote the Reformation Research in Thuringia on the basis of the abundant Gotha stocks at Castle Friedenstein.

The first developmental and editorial project is dedicated to the prints of the Reformation period, preserved by the Foundation Schloss Friedensstein. Germany's largest collection of illustrated single-sheet prints of the Reformation era,  has been developed, edited and digitally made available to all interested parties as well as to other research projects.

In addition, scientific activities from within the Reformation period are initiated, advanced projects are developed and meetings are promoted.
