Wednesday guided tour in the special exhibition "Vom Fremden erzählen. Reiseberichte aus fünf Jahrhunderten" (April 16 to June 11, 2023) at the Gotha Research Library.

In this exhibition, the Gotha Research Library shows precious illuminated late medieval pilgrim reports to the Holy Land, reports of the journeys of the Ernestine princes, travel diaries of scholars of the 17th and 18th centuries such as Johann Philipp Breyne and Ulrich Jasper Seetzen, as well as reports enriched by copperplate engravings of travelers who went to the West and East Indies in the service of the Dutch trading companies.

The exhibition is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on holidays May 1 and May 29, 2023.
