Workshop content
In this workshop, postdocs, habilitated researchers and (junior) professors with previous proposal experience will expand their knowledge of third-party-funding applications by sharing their experiences with colleagues from other departments at similar or even more advanced career stages.
Participants will be asked in advance about their knowledge, expectations and interests in order to meet each participant’s individual needs. Topics that can be discussed during the course are, among others: organizing BMBF collaborative proposals, preparing for an ERC interview or dealing with controversial reviews; characteristics of DFG Heisenberg proposals, and funding opportunities from private foundations.
In order to offer a confidential and cherishing atmosphere, the course will take place in person. All participants are expected to be willing to contribute their own experiences to the discussion. Participants are expected to be in a preparatory stage of a concrete application for third-party funding.
The workshop covers the following aspects:
- Individualised course design
- Moderated peer exchange of experiences among participants
- Communication of important requirements and specifics of funding formats
