Special event in the series "Tuesday Talks" of the Centre for Transcultural Studies / Gotha Perthes Collection with a lecture by Jeremy Vetter (Tucson, Arizona). The event will take place within the framework of the DFG research network "Modern Expeditions". Please note: The originally planned lecture by Hélène Blais (Paris) has been cancelled.

Under the title "Tuesday Talks", there will also be lectures with discussion every Tuesday in the summer semester. The series was created in cooperation with the Erfurt Chair for Wissenschaftsgeschichte (History of Science), the Göttingen Chair for Neuere und Neueste Geschichte (Modern and Contemporary History), the "Wissensdinge" research initiative, the Landeszentrale für politische Bildung Thüringen (Thuringian State Agency for Political Education) and the Gotha Collection and Research Network / Gotha Transdigital 2027. Guests can look forward to exciting topics that address the diverse areas of interest and research at the Kolleg.
