In February 2019, the University of Erfurts Equal Opportunities Future Concept (Gleichstellungszukunftskonzept 2019-2024) was unanimously approved by the senate of the University of Erfurt, and in May 2019, it was adopted by the Presidential Board. Within the framework of the Women Professors Programme III (Professorinnenprogramm III), it was awarded the title "Equality: excellent!“ This fullfils the prerequisite for co-funding up to 4 professorships to which women are appointed.
In may 2018, the senate of the University of Erfurt adopted the current equal opportunities plan in accordance with § 4 (1) sentence 2 ThürGleichG in conjunction with § 33 (1) sentence 10 ThürHG and § 9 (1) no. 14 GO UE:

In cooperation with the regional board of equal opportunities (LaKoG - Landeskonferenz der Gleichstellungsbeauftragten an Thüringer Hochschulen), the thuringian gender network (Thüringer Kompetenznetzwerk Gleichstellung) has issued a recommendation for action on the consideration of equality aspects in appeal proceedings.
