Since 2012, the University of Erfurt has successfully participated in the German Scholarship Programmof the Federal Government. We award these scholarships annually to particularly talented, high-performing and socially committed students.
The income-independent scholarship is 300 euros per month. Half of it is financed by sponsors and the other half by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Responsible regional companies make an important contribution to further strengthening Thuringia as a center of education and science.

Special thanks go to our sponsors in the 2021/22 academic year:

  • Ernst-Abbe-Stiftung
  • Evangelische Schulstiftung in Mitteldeutschland
  • Thüringer Aufbaubank
  • Vereinigte Kirchen- und Klosterkammer Erfurt
  • Zonta Club Erfurt
  • further private sponsors.

There are 7 new scholarships to be awarded starting 01.10.2021 (including 5 free scholarships, 1 scholarship tied to a study program of the Faculty of Catholic Theology, 1 specialized scholarship for the study program Master of Education Elementary School or Master of Education Regular School).
