The University of Erfurt participated in the German Scholarship Programm of the Federal Government. We award these scholarships annually to particularly talented, high-performing and socially committed students.
The income-independent scholarship is 300 euros per month. Half of it is financed by sponsors and the other half by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
The German scholarships are announced once a year at the University of Erfurt for the winter semester. The scholarship is paid out monthly and is granted for a maximum of one year.
It is possible to reapply after the end of the grant period. The maximum period of support is generally based on the standard period of study and can only be granted beyond the standard period of study in justified cases. The Deutschlandstipendium is not dependent on income and can be combined with support under the BAföG. There is no legal entitlement to funding from the Deutschlandstipendium.
