Prof. Dr. Sven Jöckel

Professor für Communication with a focus on Children, Adolescents and the Media

Sven Joeckel graduate in communication from the University of Hohenheim (Germany) and Film and Television Studies (Dublin City University, Ireland). He received his Ph.D. in 2008 at the TU Ilmenau. From 2009 to 2013 he was Assistant Professor for Digital Media at the University of Erfurt. Since 2013 he is Professor für Communication with a focus on Children, Adolescents and the Media.

Research

His Research focuses on the the use and effects of digital media and research for Children, Adolescents and the Media.

Teaching

Sven Joeckel gives course on a broad range of communication subject, for instance morality and the media or social science methods for the MA in Children, Adolescents and the Media as well as the BA in Communication.
