Attention, new regulations for Corona tests!

Due to the recent change in the Corona Ordinance of the State of Thuringia, the University of Erfurt must also adapt the regulations for its test centre in addition to its infection control concept.

Thus, until further notice, only persons who have either been fully vaccinated, have recovered or have tested negative in an official test centre of the city have access to attendance (teaching) events. Rapid tests are valid for 24 hours, PCR tests for 48 hours.

This means that the tests previously carried out under supervision in the university's own test centre on campus are no longer sufficient for access to a course or the library for people who have not been vaccinated or have recovered. These tests now only apply to lecturers who are not employees (e.g. teaching assistants) and students who either

  • present a medical certificate stating that they cannot be vaccinated against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus due to a medical contraindication or could not be vaccinated within the last three months, or
  • for whom there is no recommendation by the Permanent Vaccination Commission of the Robert Koch Institute for vaccination against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Please note: Tests will now only be handed out to students on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On the other days, students must bring their test themselves; teachers who are not employees must generally bring it themselves.

For all employees who have not been vaccinated or have recovered, on the other hand, the provisions of § 28b para. 1 IfSG continue to apply, i.e. supervised self-tests are permissible for them. These can still be done at the test centre on campus. Since the 24-hour validity also applies here, the test centre will in future be open from 7.30 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Mondays to Fridays. The University of Erfurt will make two tests per week available to all employees who do not work exclusively in their working at home.

+++ The "Kreativtankstelle" on Nordhäuser Str. is setting up a rapid test centre on 5 January 2022. This means that Corona tests will also be possible in the immediate vicinity of the campus in future. +++
