Ladies and gentlemen, dear colleagues,
In order to support you in the preparation of your electronic course offerings for the summer semester, I would like to provide you with two pieces of current information today:
1. delivery service of the University Library of digital copies
The University Library offers a delivery service of digital copies from its own media stock from 16.04. As long as the library holdings are physically not accessible or only accessible to a limited extent - due to the measures taken to contain the corona epidemic - digital use is made possible by scanning and electronically providing journal articles and book chapters (up to 30 pages or max. 10% for books, according to copyright law).
Please send orders by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Necessary details are:
- university e-mail address (sending is only possible to e-mail addresses ...@uni-erfurt.de)
- contained in: (title of the journal or volume)
- Year of publication
The processing can probably be done in 1-2 working days. Due to the limited personnel capacities on site, I kindly ask you to limit your scan orders to what is necessary to prepare the courses for the summer semester.
2. problems with the registration of Webex accounts
In my last e-mail we offered you the possibility to apply for an account to use the Webex tools via the e-mail address email@example.com. Some of you have already used this possibility. I noticed that for teachers who already have a general Webex account with the university mail address, the registration of the university account is not possible. Since only one account per e-mail address is possible at Webex, you have to delete the general account at Webex before the staff of the URMZ can create the university account for you.
