The decisions of the "Meißner Synode" caused a sensation beyond the GDR, but also aroused resistance. A typical fate of synods in the Catholic Church? The theme day invites us to discuss the opportunities and possibilities of synodality. For the current processes show: In order to meet the sensibilities and understanding of today's people, a new balance of power and authority is needed.
