Circular email: Working hours on summer days

In view of the current situation, the university management has once again drawn attention to the working time regulations on summer days, i.e. working days on which the room temperature of the respective workplace is or is expected to be 28°C or more.

The following flexibilities are possible:

  • The frame time is extended to 6 am to 8 pm.
  • The core time is abolished. The shift can therefore also begin after 9 a.m. and/or end before 3 p.m.
  • A working time backlog of up to 16 hours may be built up. This must be reduced to the regular eight minus hours by the end of the year.
  • Up to three floating days per month may be taken.

The above-mentioned flexibilisation options may be used in consultation with the respective supervisor, provided there are no official reasons for not doing so. In particular, the availability of the individual departments during normal working hours (especially during office hours) must be ensured.
