30-minute coffee lecture by the Competence Network Research Data Management at Thuringian Universities (Kompetenznetzwerks Forschungsdatenmanagement an den Thüringer Hochschulen).

Do you work with data organised in tables? Do you usually spend more time on data preparation than on data analysis? If you can answer YES to these questions, it is worth taking a look at the free open source tool OpeRefine. In the TKFDM Coffee Lecture we will give you a brief insight into the possibilities OpenRefine offers you to improve the quality of your data.

The Coffee Lecture is not a comprehensive introduction to OpenRefine. If you would like to get a more detailed insight into the tool and learn how data preparation works by means of practical exercises, we cordially invite you to our Online Workshop "Efficient organisation and preparation of tabular data" on 26 October 2023 2023. The course is run online by the TKFDM and FDM-HAWK project from 8:30 to 12:30 and is open to all researchers at Thuringian institutions.
