Inventory of the workplace systems in the administration

In August, the staff of University Computer and Media Centre, with the support of trainees, will conduct a manual inventory of the workstation systems in all areas of the administration.

The aim is to record the current inventory as a basis for necessary procurements and to update the inventory tables on the basis of the results. In this context, the PCs of those users who have been provided with laptops and docking stations in the meantime (and whose ability to work is also given without a PC) should also be dismantled, so that every administrative employee should generally only have a PC or laptop. Where the PC (or workstation) cannot be replaced by the notebook, "dual use" can also be retained after consultation. The aim of this measure is to reduce the total number of workstation systems in use, which is currently significantly higher than the number of employees on campus.
