About the lecture
The approach of problem-based learning, once developed in Canada for medical education, offers relevant aspects and good adaptation possibilities for a practice-oriented teacher training. Learning is based on practice-relevant problems, which are worked on independently by the learners in the form of realistic cases. Transferable knowledge is built up through a high level of personal activity and responsibility on the part of the learners as well as proximity to the application situation. The structural framework offers a fixed frame of reference through predefined learning steps and ensures regular comparison and reflection in the learning process. The concrete didactic approach has potential for school learning processes in addition to university education.
