Workshop with Dr Annika Schreiter and Apl. Prof. Dr Michael Haspel. The event is being held in cooperation with the Evangelische Akademie Thüringen and the Martin Luther Institute of the University of Erfurt.

The groups in schools and other places of education are becoming more diverse. This is often perceived as a problem. But this is also an opportunity for human rights and democracy education. Because democracy is more than a form of government. As a way of life, it begins on a very small scale, with interpersonal encounters. And it needs committed, responsible citizens who are aware of their self-efficacy and at the same time have an empathetic view for others. How can educational work in schools and beyond succeed in guiding young people in dealing with diversity and developing into democratic citizens? With an introduction, small practical exercises and a subsequent reflection, we approach the great democratic educational task.

The event will take place online via Webex.
