Information Circular No. 05/2022 - Publication Grants for Scientific Publications

I hereby inform you that in deviation from Circular No. 03/2021 (Publication Grants for Scientific Publications) of the Central Administration (Department 3, Legal department), publication contracts are no longer to be submitted for examination in applications for reimbursement of publication costs with immediate effect.

Applicants must ensure on their own responsibility that the requirements listed in the above circular are met and confirm this by submitting the "Declaration on the application for funding of a scientific publication from budget funds of the University of Erfurt".

In this context, I would like to point out that the use of discounts granted by publishers, for example, also cancels out the essential criterion of gratuitousness.

Please also note that the template for the above-mentioned declaration has been adapted for a given occasion and supplemented by a passage on the exclusion of double funding. For applications for funding of a scientific publication, please use the template attached to this letter (as of November 2022) from now on until further notice.
