Save the date: Health Day on 19 May

This year, the University of Erfurt's health management team is once again organising a health day for employees and students. It will take place on Thursday, 19 May - this time everything will revolve around the topic of "Family & Health". It starts at 10.15 am and ends around 5 pm.

Everyone is welcome to do something good for themselves and their health. For the first time, there will be special offers for children from the University Sports Center, the State Sports Association and the Equal Opportunity Office. The health and substitute insurance companies will participate with attractive action booths and preventive care offers. The Student Services Organisation (Studierendenwerk), the educational garden and the sports students will again provide healthy catering on site. The opening lecture will be given by Dr Martin Goldfriedrich on the topic of "Health education and training in the family".

The "Lernwerkstatt" will also be at the Health Day. In their resource corner, university members can try out and get to know the stacking stones with their children, for example. Publications, but also information on digital offers on the topic of "Health, especially for teachers and student teachers" also invite visitors to browse.

After Tino Edelmann, Nils Schumann, Vera Hohlfeld, Hartwig Gauder and Julian Reus were guests on the campus in the past years, the Olympic champion and world champion Kristina Vogel has confirmed her participation this time. She will be present at the opening with Vice President Professor Gerd Mannhaupt at 10:15 a.m. in the foyer and will speak a short greeting. The representatives for severely disabled persons have planned an information booth for the Health Day and has organized a wheelchair in which you can test for yourself how wheelchair accessible our campus is. Kristina Vogel will give a short "campus tour" in her wheelchair at 11 a.m. and point out any weak points in barrier-free accessibility.

More information about the programme will be available on our event website.
