More and more refugee children and young people from Ukraine are learning at German schools. What does this mean for the design of lessons and the work in the school community? How should future teachers be prepared for this? This workshop focuses on the educational backgrounds of Ukrainian students. You will learn about the specifics of the Ukrainian school system and what educational traditions and role understandings are shaped in school. There will also be an opportunity to talk with the speaker and some Ukrainian students who are currently attending schools in Erfurt about the challenges that refugee children and young people face in Germany.
