This year, the University of Erfurt is offering the "Mental Health Days" for its students and employees as part of its University Health Management Programme. To mark World Mental Health Day in October, the Thuringian universities have jointly organised a diverse digital programme of events on the topic of mental health.

From 28 to 30 October 2025, you will be offered three days of inspiration, lectures, workshops and practical exercises. The topics related to mental health range from mindfulness, resilience and stress management to dealing with the challenges of everyday university life in a healthy way. The online events are aimed at students and employees of all member universities of the “Healthy Universities in Thuringia network – exchange forum ‘From University to University’”, sponsored by the “Techniker Krankenkasse”. All events are held in German, Details can be found on the programme website.

Workshop for students: Stress management during your studies (in German)

Studying can be challenging and exhausting for many reasons. That's why it's helpful to be able to manage your energy optimally in order to avoid becoming overwhelmed. You can learn how to cope well with stress. In this workshop, Uwe Köppe and Monique Weinert (Psychosocial Counselling Service of the Student Union) will give an overview of stress management strategies and work with you to develop ways of applying them in your everyday (student) life.
