The University Health Management Department is once again organising a health prevention day for students and employees of the University of Erfurt on Wednesday, 29 October.

In addition to the opportunity to donate blood (from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the old cloakroom of the Audimax), a so-called AI posture scan will be offered on this day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the first aid room of the university library. This is an innovative analysis system that captures the body silhouette in a few minutes using a special video camera. The software then creates a 3D image of your posture and joint position and analyses it in terms of health-related aspects. Both the skeletal system and the surrounding muscles can be visualised. The subsequent consultation focuses on individual deviations from ideal posture. Specific exercises are recommended to promote back and joint health.

A cardio scan will also be available on this day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the administration building, 1st floor, room C02.01.54. For the measurement, electrodes will be attached to the participants' wrists and ankles. This allows individual data to be collected quickly and easily. In the subsequent consultation, participants will receive an assessment of their measurement results and specific recommendations for reducing stressors.

To take advantage of either scan offer, please register by email at gesundheit@uni-erfurt.de. No registration is required for blood donation. Please bring your identity card and, if available, your blood donor card.
