Natalie Lang’s anthropological research project examines the relation between religion and urbanity by taking the example of Hindu religion in Paris. The major research questions concern the role of religion in the production of neighborhoods and urban space, the relation between Tamil Hindus’ religious and urban aspirations, and the relation between private and public religion.
