Two places per year are available for Erfurt "Junior Scholars" at the "Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars," a think tank in Washington, D.C. The scholarships are for a period of eight to twelve weeks and you should bring enthusiasm for international history, the USA and working with documents and in archives. The International Office of the University of Erfurt endeavors to support the "Junior Scholars" with a financial grant.

More information about the work at the "Wilson Center" and your possible tasks can be found at http://www.wilsoncenter.org/. We cooperate with the "History and Public Policy Program" as well as the "Global Europe Program" under the direction of Christian Ostermann. Former Erfurt "Junior Scholars" are also always happy to provide you with information. We will support you in organizing your stay as much as possible.

To apply, please send a cover letter, an ELVIS statement, a "Statement of Purpose" and a CV (all electronically and in English) to Petra Meersteiner by December 1st, 2023. For questions about the program and the application, please contact Jürgen Martschukat.
