Review

Award and Nominations 2021

Once again, five excellent dissertations written by early stage researchers from the four Faculties and the Max-Weber-Kolleg were nominated for the 2nd Awarding of the Doctoral Prize by the University of Erfurt. Due to the pandemic, the award ceremony needed to take place digitally on 9 June 2021 as part of the public conference of the senate. The prize was awarded to Dr. Magdalena Gercke for her thesis about „Berufsbezogene Orientierungsmuster von Lehramtsstudierenden im Hinblick auf schulische Inklusion“.

During the digital ceremony, the Vice President for Research and Graduate Services, Prof. Dr. Benedikt Kranemann, as well as the Vice Chair of the University Council and science journalist from ZEIT, Dr. Hanna Proner, acknowledged the importance of Erfurt as research site, which becomes apparent by the quality and subject breadth of all nominations. The supervisors of the disserations appreciated the outstanding achievements of all nominees in laudations of their own. Once again, the event was accompanied – albeit as digital recording – by the music of the Philipp Hermann Quintett.
