Extension BigBlueButton: Access for external users

The installation of BigBlueButton for Moodle E-Learning at the University of Erfurt has been completely renewed and is now implemented as a cluster. Due to the dynamic distribution to currently four cluster nodes, significantly more meetings can now take place in parallel with better quality.

Organisers now have the option of allowing external participants without access to Moodle to take part in meetings. In the settings of the BigBlueButton activity there is a new section users without a Moodle account: External Participation Settings. When activated, a link is generated which can be passed on to external users together with a password to be defined.
