The Faculty of Education at the University of Erfurt seeks to fill the following professorship from 1st of October 2023:
Full Professorship (W3) in Inclusive Educational Processes for Intellectual and Multiple Disability (m/f/d)
Area of Responsibility
The professorship represents the special educational field of intellectual and multiple disability in research and teaching with the focus on education in inclusive contexts.
The postholder's duties include:
- contribution to all degree programs of the University of Erfurt that cover contents of special and inclusive education
- empirical research activities in the special educational field of intellectual and multiple disability, preferably in the field of education in inclusive contexts
- collaborations in research and teaching within the university
In addition to the general public service regulations, applicants must fulfil the requirements for appointment set forth in Section 84 of the Thuringian Higher Education Act (Thüringer Hochschulgesetz, ThürHG).
S/he will be required to demonstrate excellent proficiency in German (CEFR level C1) in order to carry out his or her teaching duties in the teacher training programs.
The successful candidate will have:
- an above-average doctorate in the field of education for intellectual / multiple disability
- a relevant habilitation or equivalent scientific achievements
- school practice according to § 84 (ThürHG)
- a sound research profile in education for intellectual / multiple disability
- relevant publications (preferably peer reviewed)
- experience (preferably success) in applying for own research funding
The following attribute is desirable: international visibility and networking.
