The SvStud project follows on from the predecessor project VStud and deals with behavioural economic approaches to ensure study success and avoid dropouts. Two aspects are in focus: (i) procrastination and (ii) (social) information. In three sub-projects, scalable measures are to be developed, implemented and evaluated with the help of randomised control group approaches. The results should make it possible to give recommendations regarding a sensible composition of peer groups and regarding easily implementable information and feedback offers at universities and colleges. All interventions are low-cost and broadly applicable, i.e. they are not conceptually tied to specific departments or types of higher education institutions.

The project is a joint project with the TH Nuremberg (project management: Prof. Dr Robert Jäckle) and has a total funding volume of 703,000 EUR.
