Successful training graduations celebrated

After three years of training, the University of Erfurt today held a ceremony to congratulate its vocational trainees on successfully completing their training.

Jessica Tonn (r.), for example, was able to complete her training as a specialist in media and information services/library with very good results. After her three-year training at the university library, she is now embarking on a new career path. Vincent Lindenbauer (middle) and Maximilian Kästner (l.) have mastered their training as administrative assistants with great success and also hold their professional qualifications in their hands with their certificates. Both will initially continue to be employed on a temporary basis at various faculties of the university.

"Passing exams is a liberating moment," emphasised Susan Brand, the person responsible for vocational training at the University of Erfurt's Human Resources Department, in her welcoming speech. And all three nodded with obvious relief. If that applies to anyone, then it is certainly especially true of this training cohort: school closures, home office and hybrid teaching characterised this time and made learning a profession a pandemic "remote training", so to speak. The university was aware of the difficult conditions and assured the three graduates once again of much respect for their discipline and perseverance.
