Our profile

We are a central institution that supports you in learning 14 different foreign languages and German sign language. We also offer courses in speech training, organise interesting StuFus and offer numerous additional activities for students and employees.

Our newsletter <sprachbo(o)te> informs you twice a year about news, projects and events, trainings and conferences, staff and amusing facts from the language courses.

Our Programme

• We support the philologies with cultural and language practice courses.
• We offer language courses for students of all faculties.
• We advise on issues relating to the recognition of international certificates or achievements from semesters abroad. Further information can be found here.
• We organise language courses for employees.
• We offer speech training programmes for all students and especially for students in the teachers' training programmes.
• We connect students of different nationalities in tandem programmes and writing workshops. Further information can be found here
• We enrich cultural life at the university through music events and contributions to diversity and interculturality.
