As part of its Competence-oriented personnel development for academics, the University of Erfurt is inviting all its academics to a best practice forum entitled "Advice, treatment, knowledge transfer – how science becomes socially effective" on Tuesday, 21 April.

In addition to short inputs from scientists, the aim is to exchange experiences with the transfer of their own research into society.

The following speakers will share their experiences on this day:

  • Professor Cornelia Betsch (Member of the German Ethics Council)
  • Dr Andreas Braune (Weimar Rendezvous with History)
  • Professor Sophia Hoffmann (experience with non-university partners and foundations)
  • Professor Sandra Neumann (KOMPASS Language Teaching and Research Lab)
  • Professor Michael Riegner (Global Justice Clinic)
  • Professor Myriam Wijlens (work as an advisor to the Vatican and on reform processes within the Church)

The event will be moderated by Professor André Brodocz, Vice President for Research and Academic Careers at the University of Erfurt. Afterwards, all participants are invited to a small get-together. Please register by 12 April.
