Do I have to do a placement test?

For absolute beginners (A1 level) a placement test is not necessary. If you already have some knowledge of the language you want to learn, a placement test is necessary. This is the case for the following languages: German as a Foreign Language (DaF), English, French, Italian, Russian and Spanish.

For all other languages, please write an e-mail to the contact person in that language section and ask about the placement test.
