Registration for language courses at the Language Center
General Information
Our language courses are aimed at Thuringian students with the aim of acquiring credit points for their study regulations or fulfilling other study requirements. Unfortunately, non-students cannot take part in our language courses. Speech training courses are treated like language courses in terms of registration.
Registration for language courses takes place exclusively via Moodle. Registrations by e-mail will not be considered.
Unfortunately, guest auditor status is only possible for lectures, but not for language courses.
Students from other universities in Thuringia can find out more about a second student status by clicking on the following link.
Registration Period for Students of the University of Erfurt (winter semester 2025/26)
Enrolment in the language courses takes place in three phases:
- During the first registration phase, from September 16, 10 AM to October 1, 2025, 6 PM students who have already successfully completed one of our language courses and wish to continue at a higher level (A2 or above) can register.
- In the second registration phase, from October 9, 4 PM to October 10, 2025, 6 PM, students with no previous knowledge can register for courses at the A1 level. However, registration for all other courses (from A2) will also be reopened during this period.
- In the third registration phase, from October 17, 4 PM to October 20, 2025, 6 PM courses with free places will be reopened for registration. Here, all students can register for any remaining places.
If there are still places available after the second registration deadline, you can also go to the first session of the course and ask the teacher for a place in the course.
Please note: Different times may apply for speech training, German as a foreign language (DaF), and English.
If you have any questions about specific language courses, please feel free to contact the teachers via email.
