Presentation by Jan Adams (Pflegehof GmbH) as part of the StarTH Now! programme run by the Thuringian University Start-up Network

Do you have a business idea and want to make it financially viable? Jan Adams, co-founder of Initiative Pflegehof GmbH, knows from personal experience just how challenging – and at the same time rewarding – the day-to-day reality of running a start-up can be. In this interactive workshop, you’ll get your figures in order, learn how to evaluate business models and draw up financial plans – without having to worry about Excel!

The workshop will cover the following topics, amongst others:

  • You’ll understand the difference between setting up a business and a start-up
  • You’ll be able to assess the opportunities and challenges of different business models
  • You’ll be familiar with suitable funding options for your business idea
  • You’ll learn how to plan your finances properly and draw up a convincing financial plan

Please note: This workshop is interactive. This means that you won’t just be listening, but will also be able to get involved straight away. To do this, you will need access to a spreadsheet programme such as Microsoft Excel during the workshop.

We look forward to receiving your registration!

‘StarTH Now’ workshop series

Whether you’re just starting out or already well into setting up your business – in our monthly StarTH Now workshops, we’ll equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to take your business idea forward!

What is the StarTH network? The Thuringian university start-up network StarTH brings together the start-up advisory services at Thuringia’s universities and creates a central platform for students, researchers and graduates interested in starting a business. The start-up advisory centres offer comprehensive advisory and coaching services – from initial consultations through to personalised support at every stage of the start-up process, as well as assistance with securing funding.
